Childhood

At the end of every goodbye, there’s a new beginning.

As Senior Year ends few months ago, I had to open up a whole new chapter of this life, a Campus Life. I guess it’s starting all over again, in a superb coolest newland, left to stand on my own two feet, just me again. Well one thing about making ends meet on my own is not something peculiar to me as I’ve been doing so for the past 5 years, but I’ll bear in mind that things aren’t always what it seems.

It’s obviously too late for me to cherish my childhood, my years in school ; those were the better days that I would give everything just to get it back. You have friends that got your back, grow up and share all that laughter and tears with you, eating maggimee in a dark accompanied by a single torchlight, played rugby in the rain, talk about life as you look at the stars above your head, carelessly enjoying the little things in life with you because when you look back, you’ll realised that those were the big things in life.

As you strive for success in school, make sure you’re having fun while you’re at it. Keep your eyes open because life is full of surprises, some may be pleasant, some may not but if you don’t keep watching, you’ll miss half of the excitement. Expect to be thrilled once in a while and you will be.
When challenges knock your door, welcome them. They’ll leave you stronger, wiser and more capable than you were the day before. When you are trusted to do something, give it your best and try not to fail them, because trust grow smaller and smaller with every mistake. Learn from what mistakes taught you because Life does not come with an eraser, learn from other’s mistakes too, you can’t afford to do all of them by yourself.

In School, life is a lot more easy because there’s only one rule which is follow the rules, even the little ones. When you follow the rules, Life works and retaliation is simply futile. Remember that crime does not pays and our past have a sneaky way of creeping back to us.
Be ready to go to new places as change is also part of growing up. As you grow with the years, you are given bigger shoes to fill, so be ready for weeping endings and challenging beginnings. Be brave enough to move to the unfamiliar. Life isn’t just about reaching peaks, part of it is also moving from one to another. Don’t rest too long in between, you’ll become comfortable with what you have, complacent and unproductive. In the end, you’ll get left behind.

Remember, childhood is only once, live for it.
